Volunteer Drivers Wanted
We are always looking for more volunteer drivers for the minibus and car at Zetland Court. Both of these vehicles can be driven on an ordinary licence. Residents will always be accompanied by a member of staff. If you can spare an hour or two, even once a month, it would be very much appreciated. For more details please contact the AFZC Chairman, Secretary or Membership Team, who will be happy to give you more details.
Volunteering
Would you like to get involved at Zetland Court ?
Can you spare a couple of hours ?
We are always looking to encourage willing volunteers to help out around the Home, helping the Homes social care team with fun events for the residents, just spending time with the residents, who may not have family nearby (befriending), helping out on events organised by AFZC or helping on the work party days to clear parts of the gardens or paint fences etc.
There is no long term commitment, please just do what you can, when you can. Its a great way to meet with the staff and residents and make a difference.
If you feel you can help and would like more details please contact any of the committee or email us through the website or enquire at the reception at the Home.
Zetland Court is proud to have had young volunteers who were working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards
Here we see Erin Casey from Queen Elizabeth School in Wimborne helping in the Minibus
and Jasmine Loosemore from Bournemouth School for Girls helping with activities.
The girls have been enjoying themselves and a great help with activities and serving tea and coffee to the residents.
Why not do a sponsored event for the Friends of Zetland Court.
If you are taking part in an event, or have an idea to do something to raise sponsorship for the Friends of Zetland Court, then please let us know what you are planning to do. We can publicise it , to help raise your profile and encourage Lodges and individuals across all 3 provinces to support your endeavors.
You can be certain that your efforts will not go unnoticed. No matter what size the sponsorship is, it will definitely make a real difference to the residents.
