The Association of Friends of Zetland Court
Who are the Association of Friends ?
The Association of Friends of Zetland Court (AFZC) are a registered Charity No 296598 whose aim is to raise funds and awareness of Zetland Court in order to provide extra comfort and a range of social, leisure and entertainment activities and extra facilities for the residents, which are outside the remit of the RMBI.
How do the Association of Friends raise money ?
As a registered charity No 296598, the Association of Friends raise money for the Home by various means. Firstly by encouraging Lodges and individuals to become “Friends”, “Patrons” and “Grand Patrons” of the Home. Also by fund raising events such as the annual Summer Fete, Summer Music Concert and the annual Christmas Fair.
How can you help ?
There are lots of ways you can help. Most importantly by becoming a Friend, Patron or Grand Patron. Also by giving your support and energy to attend the various fund raising events organised by the Association of Friends throughout the year. You could also volunteer at the Home, by befriending residents, helping the social care team with activities, driving residents to appointments in the minibus or car or by helping on “work days” that the Association of Friends arrange, usually a couple of times a year, where we help with hedge trimming, garden clearance or fence painting etc.
Without your support we cannot achieve anything.
Please look around the site, see the committee members, who you may already know and feel free to contact any of them if you would like to become involved or volunteer, or drive the Minibus or Car, or become a Friend or Patron of the Home.
