The Association of Friends of Zetland Court
Who are the Association of Friends ?
The Association of Friends of Zetland Court (AFZC) are a registered Charity No 296598 whose aim is to raise funds and awareness of Zetland Court in order to provide extra comfort and a range of social, leisure and entertainment activities and extra facilities for the residents, which are outside the remit of the RMBI Care packages.
How do the Association of Friends raise money ?
The Association of Friends raise money for the Home in various ways. Firstly by encouraging Lodges and individuals to become “Annual Sponsors” or ” Grand Patrons” of the Home. (Full details on our “Become a Member Page”).
By running fund raising events such as the annual Summer Fete – with the Annual Grand Draw, The Summer Music Event – ZETFEST and the annual Christmas Fair. Also by encouraging individual or Lodge donations for specific projects.
How can you help ?
Most importantly by considering becoming an Annual Sponsor or Grand Patron. Also by giving your support and energy to attend the various fund raising events organised by the Association of Friends throughout the year. You could volunteer at the Home, by befriending residents, helping the social care team with activities, driving residents to appointments in the minibus or car or by helping on “work days” that the Association of Friends arrange, usually a couple of times a year, where we carry out jobs like hedge trimming, garden clearance or fence painting to name but a few.
Please look around the site, view the committee members, who you may already know and please feel free to contact any of them if you would like to become involved or volunteer, or drive the Minibus or Car, or become an Annual Sponsor or Grand Patron of the Home, or just want to know more about the wonderful place that is Zetland Court.
Without your support we cannot achieve our goals.
