Who are the Association of Friends ?
The Association of Friends of Zetland Court (AFZC) is a registered Charity No 296598. Our aim is to raise funds and awareness of Zetland Court. This is to allow us to provide extra comfort and a range of social, leisure and entertainment activities for the residents and extra facilities that are outside the scope of the RMBI Care packages.
How do the Association of Friends raise money ?
The Association of Friends raise money for the Home in several different ways.
By encouraging Lodges and individuals to be “Annual Sponsors” or “Grand Patrons” of the Home. (More details on the “Become a Member Page”).
By running fund raising events, like the annual Summer Fete – with the annual Grand Draw, The Summer Music Event – Zetfest and the annual Christmas Fair. Also by seeking individual or Lodge donations for specific projects.
How can you help ?
You can help by becoming an Annual Sponsor or Grand Patron. Also by giving your support and energy to the fund raising events organised throughout the year and just attending them. You could volunteer to help at the Home, befriend residents or help the social care team with activities. We are always looking for more volunteers to drive residents to appointments or outings in the minibus or car or by helping on “work days” that are usually arranged a couple of times a year, to carry out jobs like hedge trimming, garden clearance or fence painting. They are really good fun.
